Just weeks after Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s shock split and subsequent divorce filing, a source has made a bombshell claim that the actress would reunite with the country star “in a heartbeat”.

News of their separation in late September shocked fans around the world, but an insider has suggested it might not be over.

“She would get back with him in a heartbeat,” a source who has reportedly known Kidman for decades told the Daily Mail.

The same source claims the couple had been working through some marital issues and were “getting it back together” when Urban suddenly pulled the plug.

At the time, those close to the Oscar-winning star said she was blindsided by Urban’s decision to end their 19-year marriage.

“Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed,” an insider told People. “She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on.”

Urban moved out of the family’s multi-million dollar Nashville property at the beginning of the American summer, and rumours are already swirling that he might have moved on with a younger woman.

“The rumour is that he’s with a younger woman in the business. It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery,” a Nashville music business PR source told the Daily Mail.

It has been speculated that Urban’s guitarist, Maggie Baugh, might be the mystery woman after the musician changed lyrics to his love song Fighter, which was believed to have been inspired by Kidman.

The original lyric is: “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter”.

Instead Urban sang: “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”

The idea of Urban moving on is said to be devastating for Kidman.

“That would be a worst-case scenario for her,” the long-time friend added.

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 and had long been considered one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples. Kidman filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

Kidman will be the primary residential parent of the couple’s two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Under the proposed custody arrangement, the children will reside with Kidman for 306 days of the year, while Urban will have them for 59 days.
