Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have done little to quell rumours that they are reportedly “in love”.

A clip of the pair has resurfaced from when the pair were working together on The Music Man showing the co-stars gushing over one another on Late Night with Seth Myers.

Jackman and Foster played the romantic leads in the Broadway musical from late 2021 until it finished its run earlier in 2023.

They appeared on the late night talk show in May 2022 to promote the musical, during which the pair seemed positively giddy to be working together.

Foster, 49, said it was a “dream come true” to work with Jackman, 56.

“The show is so joyful, and I’m having the time of my life playing opposite this guy,” Foster said.

“You had to say that, but thank you,” Jackman teased.

“I did!” Foster added. “But it’s like — it’s a dream come true. Truly.”

The pair shared stories about hecklers teasing the on-stage lovers to “kiss already” during the show.

Jackson was quick to admit, when asked by Myers, that he was “intimidated” to work with Foster for the first time.

The Wolverine star said he’d seen “everything Foster had ever appeared in.

“This is a six-time Tony nominee, two-time winner,” he said.

“I saw her do Thoroughly Modern Millie when you were like four years old. I’ve watched everything she’s done. It’s amazing.

“And I’m the guy who, in my first show, Beauty and the Beast, it was in my contract that I had to have singing lessons once a week.”

Foster also admitted to being intimidated to star alongside Jackman: “Yes. Very much so,” she told the late-night host.

“You’re Hugh Jackman,” she tells the Australian.

“And then our names are really big on a giant billboard. And I was like, ‘Oh God, that’s gonna cost a lot of money when they have to replace me.’

“But I was pretty convinced I was going to be fired for several weeks.”

“Oh stop it,” Jackman gushed.

In another clip from the interview, Jackman described his leading lady as “the best in the world at what she does” and a major drawcard for audiences buying tickets to The Music Man.

“Sutton is literally the best in the world — and I would say this if you weren’t here or if I wasn’t on national television,” he told the actor.

“She’s incredible.”

The interview has resurfaced after it was reported that the co-stars have taken their on-stage romance into the real world, with sources telling Page Six the actors are “in love” but keeping it under wraps.

“They spend all of their free time together,” a source told Page Six, adding they “sneak around” to keep out of the public eye.

“They are 100 per cent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” another source told the publication.

“They go out of their way to hide it, but it’s common knowledge.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Foster filed for divorce from her screenwriter husband Ted Griffin, who she was married to for 10 years and shares a seven-year-old daughter with.

Meanwhile, in a shared statement in September 2023, Jackman and actor wife Deborra-Lee Furness announced they had divorced after 27 years of marriage.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” their statement read.

“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.”

Jackman and Foster were first linked in December 2023, when In Touch magazine reported the Australian was “romancing” the dual Tony Award winner.

The pair were seen on red carpets and events throughout The Music Man run to promote and celebrate the show — including attending the 2022 Tony Awards (Foster’s husband was also in attendance) when they were nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively.
