Australia’s very own Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has scored the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording with his seven-minute single End of Summer.
The award was announced during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles, where Parker topped a competitive field including Disclosure and Anderson .Paak’s No Cap, Fred again... and Skepta’s Victory Lap, Kaytranada’s Space Invader, and Skrillex’s Voltage.
The track serves as the cinematic closer to Deadbeat, the Perth musician’s latest album and a notable shift towards a more electronic-driven sound.
