A Harry Potter star has claimed she was barred from a fan convention because she produces ‘fetish’ content on OnlyFans.

Jessie Cave, known for her role as Lavender Brown, Ron Weasley’s fleeting love interest, started her OF account in March this year.

“I found out that I didn’t get booked for a Harry Potter convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans,” the 38-year-old wrote on her Substack, Bang Showbiz reported.

“They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn.’”

The actress said she found the explanation “baffling” because many performers who attend conventions have done work that involves nudity and sex scenes.

She said her OF account is just videos of her “playing with (her) hair”.

When Cave announced she was starting an OF page she said it would offer “the best quality hair sounds” and “very sensual stuff”.

With a new Harry Potter series in the works, Cave said she is not too fussed if she is “cancelled” from the wizarding world.

“I am not upset about the prospect of no more Harry Potter conventions,” she said.

“There’s going to be a new cast now, and it’s a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia.”

The Great Expectations actress said that some years the only “real” money she made came from signing photos of herself at conventions.

“I am very lucky I got to do them. It’s time to move on and play some new characters.”

After news of her OF debut broke, Cave again took to Substack to confirm she would not be making sexual content.

“Most of the new followers assume I’m now doing sexual content, even though I’ve made it clear I will not be,” she wrote.

“The bottom line is I’m just playing with my hair.

“I will not be shamed for trying something new. I am excited to learn about the hair fetish world. Did you know it’s a real thing? It’s called TRICHOPHILIA.”

Cave, who also released her first book “Sunset” in 2021, said she has been sitting at her desk unable to write because she is always “worried about money”.

“I’m meant to be writing a novel, but I’ve lost track of the idea that got it bought (and not bought for much) and I don’t want to write another misery book.”

The mum of four said she has tried every avenue of money making in the entertainment industry, and wants to be able to provide for her children.

“Whenever I’m not with the kids, my guilt is granular and all-encompassing. I am happy with them, I am lifted by their presence, which I know is unsustainable – I need to be okay alone, it’s too much pressure for them to be my sole purpose – but they are right now. And I need to make money for them to live well. I not afraid of their future questions.”
