Lady Gaga ticket mayhem: Australians face ‘insane’ queues after Coachella slay

Lady Gaga’s long-awaited return to Australia after over a decade has sparked an unprecedented ticket frenzy, leaving fans battling virtual queues and soaring demand as pre-sales went live today.
Following a show-stopping performance at Coachella over the weekend, demand for the “Mayhem Ball” tour has reached fever pitch, with reports of tickets selling out within minutes and queue numbers exceeding 100,000 for the Sydney show alone.
The pop icon, whose last Australian tour was the ArtRave: Artpop Ball in 2014, is set to ignite stages in three major Australian cities this December, starting with Melbourne, then Brisbane and Sydney.

One Sydney-based fan reported joining the Ticketek queue 88,145th in line, despite joining well before the 11 am pre-sale start time.
Another fan reported a similar experience, clocking in at 60,776th in line just minutes after the queue opened.
The scenes were no different in Melbourne and Brisbane, with Ticketmaster reporting that tickets priced under $200 were almost entirely gone within the first half-hour of the pre-sale launch.
Tickets for Australian shows range between $113 and $1581.
Tik Tok is filled with desperate pleas from fans who missed out, while those lucky enough to secure tickets are celebrating their victory with glee.
The overwhelming demand comes hot on the heels of Gaga’s Coachella set, which has been hailed by many as her “best performance to date,” further fuelling the ticket-buying frenzy.
Videos of the performance have gone viral, showcasing Gaga’s signature theatrics, powerhouse vocals, and undeniable stage presence.

- Wednesday, April 16, 2025: Live Nation pre-sale | Melbourne – 11:00 am, Sydney – 12:00 pm, Brisbane – 1:00 pm
- Thursday, April 17, 2025: General on-sale | Melbourne – 12:00 pm, Sydney – 1:00 pm, Brisbane – 2:00 pm
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for the Queensland and Victorian shows and Ticketek for the Sydney leg.
