The winner of the 2025 Eurovision Song Content has been revealed in dramatic scenes, with the world’s biggest music competition now heading to a new country for 2026.

Austrian singer JJ was crowned winner of the 29th Eurovision Song Contest with his song Wasted Love.

The classically trained soprano singer mixed opera and hard techno with strobe lights and a boat to take out the competition.

It was a tense standoff in the final moments of the competition as the result came down to the final moment.

Israel was sitting at the top of the leader board until the final points for Austria were revealed.

After the public vote was awarded, JJ from Austria was confirmed as the 2025 winner of the Eurovision Song Content.

Where will Eurovision be hosted in 2026?

The 70th annual Eurovision Song Contest will head to Austria in 2026.

Although not confirmed, it is likely the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in the Austrian capital of Vienna.

Austria last hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 after Conchita Wurst, a singing bearded drag queen, won the 2014 competition with the song Rise Like A Phoenix.

In 2015, Austria hosted the competition in Vienna.
