‘Dream come true’

The 26-year-old indie artist can’t quite believe she is opening for the one and only Kylie Minogue!

It’s a big career goal for Mallrat who is used to playing festivals to smaller crowds.

“Let’s dance for a little bit,” she said.

For her last two songs she sang one of her most popular tunes Charlie. It came in at number 3 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2019.

She finished with one of her new songs from her album Light hit my face like a straight right released yesterday.

Before she left the stage, she encouraged fans to purchase her vinyl so they could have “bragging rights when I’m the next big thing”

Party vibes on the way!

Mallrat, real name Grace Shaw, is singing one of her new songs Pavement.

She is jumping and spinning around the stage.

Addressing the slowly filling crowd, she said:

“What an exciting night! We are here for Kylie,” she said.

Fans roared with cheers for the Princess of Pop.

“When we got the call about doing the show we were over the moon and we’ve had butterflies ever since we realised we were doing it.

“We’re nervous but excited thank you for making us feel welcome.

“We are going to play some songs so the energy is right for when the princess joins us.”

Superfan alert!

Perth local Kevin Winder is seeing the pop megastar for the 45th time.

“I was at Hyde Park in London not too long ago to see that gig and saw her at World Pride in Sydney, and then tonight is going to be spectacular,” he said.

Mr Winder, who has been a fan since Kylie played Charlene Mitchell on Neighbours, wore a jacket bearing a photo of him and Kylie hugging at a meet and greet.

He was looking forward to making even more memories on Saturday with his friends and his 13-year-old niece Emily.

“Those times where our (Kylie and I’s) worlds collide, these are some of the most special moments of my life,” he said.

Influencer spends thousands on tickets

Aussie influencer Alright Hey revealed he spent $10,000 to get a ticket to every Kylie show in Australia.

He said for four of the 10 shows he is sitting in the front row.

“Long story short, every time she’s done a tour, I either haven’t been able to afford a ticket, or if I have I’m way up the back, and I always just feel sad, like I just want to be front row,” he explained.

“So I decided to go to every single show, and at four of the 10 shows I’m sitting front row. There’s one show where I’m going back to my roots and sitting right up the back, just so I remember how it feels.”

He said he will be wearing a different iconic look at each concert and wants to bring his followers along as he takes on Kylie’s Australian leg of her Tension tour.
