Does Nat Barr get a prize for Aussie TV presenter record?

The early riser was on the red carpet with Shirvo when Chris Brown told Barr she had clocked up 23 years as a morning TV presenter which is an Australian record.

“Wow. Do I get something for that?” she replied.

Shirvo jumped in: “You get to work with me!”

Jelana Dokic on ‘raw, honest’ documentary

Chris Brown interviewed the former tennis player on the red carpet: “My journey after being a tennis player has been amazing and for the documentary, not just to come out, but to be nominated for different awards, and my book to be turned into a documentary and my story to be turned into a documentary is a very big deal.

“It doesn’t happen very often. I’m grateful to Australia and everyone who supported it, and the Australian Open, and also Dylan and I work together and we feel come out of our careers together to go on to commentary and to hosting.

“So it is great to be here as well.”

Kate Miller-Heidke bold in red

The singer and The Voice coach has arrived with fellow coach Richard Marx, who is new to the team this year.

Miller-Heidke said in an interview ahead of the awards that she was “absolutely chuffed” to be nominated for her first Logie in the most popular new talent category.

“TV is not my world. As a musician, it was something entirely new for me when I started on The Voice last year, but it’s just been so much fun and such a gift to my life,” she said.

“It’s just amazing to be embraced by this new world.”

While it’s her first nomination, attending the Logies isn’t her first rodeo, having sung Olivia Newton-John’s Xanadu at the event two years ago as a tribute to the late star.

She was also in attendance last year when The Voice took out the best entertainment program award.

“I love it. Personally, I think it’s much more fun than the ARIAs,” she said.
