Pop star Cher Lloyd has thrown her wedding ring “in the bin” after seemingly splitting from her husband, sparking rumours that a new album could be in the works.

The Swagger Jagger hitmaker married Craig Monk in November 2013 but she sparked speculation they had split up after sharing a photo on Instagram on Monday showing her left hand without her ring.

One fan asked: “I have many questions, where is your wedding ring? What are we supposed to understand from your photos?”

Cher bluntly replied: “It’s in the bin”.

Reacting to the message, another fan went on to ask: “I dreamed that you are releasing new music soon”, to which the singer replied: “👀👀👀”.

A spokesperson for the singer - who shot to fame when she competed on The X Factor in 2010 - has yet to comment.

The 32-year-old star met Craig - with whom she has daughters Delilah-Rae, eight, and two-year-old Eliza - at a hair salon shortly after coming fourth on The X Factor.

She told Metro back in 2014: “It’s embarrassing how we met when I think about it.

“I went to a hair salon to get my hair done just after I got off The X Factor.

“I wanted to go for a cigarette but I couldn’t go out the front because it was swimming with paparazzi.

“He was the only one who could take me out the back. So that’s where I met him.”

They got engaged in January 2012 and married the following year.

Meanwhile, the Want U Back singer previously declared fame to be “mentally damaging” and admitted she struggled with life in the spotlight after The X Factor.

She reflected to Fabulous magazine: “I was a naive 16 year old, who came from such a small shielded town where bad things didn’t happen, and I think I found it more difficult going on to a show like that because of where I was from and my background.

“I could deal with the pressures of performing at the drop of a hat, that wasn’t the part I struggled with - anything creative was a dream for me.

“When it came to the world of showbiz and gossip, that’s when it started to crumble and the dream turned into a little bit of nightmare. I feel like I was thrown to the wolves and it was so mentally damaging.”

The ‘None of My Business’ singer finished in fourth place on the show, and as she began to pave her way in the music industry, she found herself suffering a daily onslaught of online abuse including racism and death threats.

In 2012, the singer was forced off stage at V Festival after audience members threw bottles of urine at her, and Cher now admits the abuse left her feeling “lonely”.

She added: “I spent most nights crying in hotel rooms - sure, they were fantastic five-star hotels, but I was so lonely. I didn’t trust anyone. I thought everyone was out to get me or wanted to take the p**s out of me and ruin whatever dream I had.”
