Kyle & Jackie O listeners shocked after employee announces resignation live on-air
Kyle & Jackie O listeners were left shocked when an employee announced his resignation live on-air on Thursday.
Studio producer Lachlan Mansell — who also appeared on Nine’s Beauty and the Geek show — revealed he would be leaving the radio show to pursue an opportunity in the motorsport industry.
“Someone’s leaving the show, officially resigned... It’s Lachy, the Geek,” Kyle said.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Mansell jumped in to say: “My new title is Head of Motorsport for One Raceway, a motor racing circuit. I’ll be coordinating events and overseeing the media and PR for them.”
His resignation comes less than a year after the breakfast show was hit by another big loss when executive producer Pedro Vitola left.
Vitola announced in August that he was stepping down from his role after seven years to focus on his family.
“It’s been an amazing ride, and I’m so grateful to Kyle, Jackie, and the entire team for the opportunities I’ve had,” Vitola said.
“As much as I love the show, my new role as a dad is my top priority, and I’m excited to spend more time with my family.”
