Sarah Ferguson, ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to inherit portion of Paddy McNally’s $1.1b fortune
The former Duchess of York remained good friends with the billionaire over the years.
Former royal Sarah Ferguson is reportedly set to inherit a slice of her tycoon ex-boyfriend’s $1.1 billion fortune.
Formula One tycoon Paddy McNally, who died last week at the age of 88, has reportedly left a “sizeable” portion of his fortune to the former Duchess of York, according to news.com.au.
Mr McNally hired Ms Ferguson, known as Fergie, as the nanny of his two young sons when she moved to Switzerland at the age of 23. He was 45 at the time.

“Paddy used to tell me I was fat and ugly and no one was interested in me, and I believed him,” Ms Ferguson said, according to biographer Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled.
Ms Ferguson later married disgraced royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the brother of King Charles, and went on to have two children with him, but over the years she remained closed with Mr McNally.
According to the Daily Mail, she was “at the heart” of his tight circle of friends.
Mr Lownie told The Telegraph that he “would not be surprised” if Mr McNally didn’t include Ms Ferguson in his will.
“He was very, very good to her,” he reportedly said.
Assets that Mr McNally left behind include Sevenhampton Place, worth $76 million, a villa called Le Clos de Meaux in the south of France; three ski chalets in Verbier, Switzerland, and a grouse moor in Scotland, according to news.com.au.
