Meghan Markle has pushed back the premiere of her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan from this Wednesday, January 15 to March 4.
The reason she gave was the ongoing California wildfires which has, so far, claimed 16 lives and thousands of properties.
She said in a statement, “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California”.

The multiple fires around Los Angeles broke out last week and is still burning. Among the celebrities to have lost their homes include Joshua Jackson, Billy Crystal, Milo Ventimiglia, Paris Hilton, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, Anthony Hopkins, Eugene Levy and Jeff Bridges.
With Love, Meghan is believed to feature Markle at home at her Montecito estate one-and-a-half hours north of Los Angeles. The lifestyle program will have “personal tips and tricks” about gardening, cooking and living.
She will be joined by special guests across various episodes including Mindy Kaling, chef Roy Choi and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
When the trailer for With Love, Meghan dropped, it was met with fierce backlash on the internet from trolls and the usual band of haters despite the series having not yet premiered.
At the Golden Globes awards last week, Kaling defended Markle to Variety. She said, “I just feel like people get mad about stuff… that feels unnecessary, and a waste of time, maybe.
“(Markle) can do anything, she’s just a thoughtful, creative person with stuff at the home and she has a garden. She legitimately has gardens so it was really fun for someone like me.”
With Love, Meghan is the latest project to stem from a Netflix development deal she and Prince Harry signed with the streamer in 2020.
The most high-profile of these collaborations was 2022 documentary series, Harry & Meghan, which Netflix co-chief executive Ted Sarandos previously said was one of the platform’s most-watched docos of all time.
He said in 2024, as reported by Forbes at the time: “They’re controversial, but that’s usually a good thing. You may love them or hate, but you’re watching.”
The other projects have been a Heart of Invictus five-part series, a show about polo, and Live to Lead, which interviewed people such as Gloria Steinem and Greta Thunberg.
