People still want this! Netflix renews Kristen Bell and Adam Brody rom-com Nobody Wants This for third season

Does everybody still want this?
Netflix is banking on yes, because it has just renewed Nobody Wants This for a third season, to be released in 2026.
The cast including Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn are all returning for the continuation of the rom-com series.

The culture clash between his religious faith and her agnosticism sets the conflict for the series, especially as Noah needs Joanne to convert to Judaism for their relationship to be viable.
Nobody Wants This is based on creator Erin Foster’s real-life experiences converting to another faith when she met her Jewish husband.

When the first season premiered in September 2024, it was a sensation, especially for its coupling of Bell and Brody, two actors best known for their 2000s-era teen shows Veronica Mars and The OC, respectively.
Season two featured guest appearances from Leighton Meester, Brody’s real-life wife, Seth Rogen, Kate Berlant and Arian Moayed.
The renewal seemed inevitable, given how the second season ended, and comments that Foster and showrunner Jenni Konner made in the press about slowing the story down instead of rushing through the arc.
Which meant the production team expected there would be a chance to tell the rest of Joanne and Noah’s story.
While the debut season had almost universal acclaim, the critical reception to the follow-up was more muted, and the viewing figures were marginally down. For season two, in the first 11 days of release, the show has clocked up 18 million views, compared to season one’s 19.9 million.
