Screen Queen TV reviews: Stranger Things final season, Bump Xmas film, With Love, Meghan and Oh. What. Fun.

Stranger Things S5
Streaming now, Netflix
So much has changed in the world since Stranger Things first burst onto screens back on July 15, 2016. Back then, Barack Obama was in power and the Brexit referendum had only just happened, Russia hadn’t yet invaded Ukraine, Gaza was still standing and somehow things felt . . . less terrible.

First up, those itty-bitty kids are now all in their 20s. Millie Bobby Brown, who was 11 when filming began, is now a mum, for heaven’s sake.
It’s like we all collectively blinked, a decade of our lives whizzed past and the place we’ve ended up in feels . . . not so great.
I know I speak for all of us when I say the past 10 years have changed me. Perhaps this is why I felt so emotional when I watched the last few moments of the fourth episode of season five that dropped on Thursday?
For those who’ve not yet caught it, I’ll be vague, but there was something incredibly affecting about watching Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), the character who has arguably shouldered the most trauma during the show, step into his power and take back control — it gave me hope.
Like the rest of you, I have no idea where the rest of this season is headed (while Netflix gave me the first few episodes ahead of time, they’ve stopped short of sharing the next three, which land on Christmas Day). But after watching that scene, I’m travelling into this final chapter with a sense of optimism.
Maybe, just maybe, everything will be turned right side up in the end. Maybe Holly and Max will find a way back home. Heck, maybe we’ll ALL find a way out of this strange Upside Down we’ve found ourselves in this past decade.
Heaven knows we all need a bit of optimism right now. Who knew it would come via an episode of Stranger Things?
Bump: A Christmas Film
Sunday, streaming on Stan
Has there been a gaping Bump-sized hole in your life since the long-running series finished up? Good news: you can fill it with this festive film. Feliz Navidad!
Set between episodes 9 and 10 of the final season, it sees the extended family — including Oly (Nathalie Morris) and Santi’s (Carlos Sanson Jr) eight-week-old bub — heading off on a South American cruise.
They’re all keen to experience the “beauty and heart of Colombian traditions” via their epic voyage, but in true Christmas movie tradition, their best-laid plans go spectacularly awry.
Bump fans, prepare to feel all the feels as you set sail on this delightful voyage.
With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration
Wednesday, streaming on Netflix

Duchess Meghan is dashing through the snow. Or, more precisely, skipping through her sun-kissed vineyard, in this festive special, which sees her picking Christmas trees, cooking with friends and crafting up a storm. You know how I feel about Megsie — inject this into my festive eyeballs.
Oh. What. Fun.
Wednesday, streaming on Prime Video

Starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Grace Moretz, Denis Leary and Eva Longoria, this festive flick is for any mum out there who’s just run out of effs to give in the lead-up to Christmas. Read: all of us.
The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills S15
Friday, streaming on Hayu

Fifteen seasons on, and Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Bozoma Saint John and Sutton Stracke are still bringing the drama, and don’t we just love to see it? This season sees Rachel Zoe joining the fun — squeal!
