Aussies lose their minds over Le Creuset’s Stoneware Butter Bell: ‘I’m excited about it’
I wouldn’t say I’m an avid home cook but I do love the appliances and apparatus associated with cooking.
I’ve long lusted after Le Creuset’s colourful cast iron pots and pans but gawked at the price of a single saucepan.
That is, until I saw a number of social media accounts raving about the brand’s “butter crock”.

Aussies have long been jealous of our Northern Hemisphere counterparts who can comfortably leave their butter out on the table sans any type of dish surrounding it and it won’t spoil or melt, but the same can’t be said down under.
I can barely leave my butter out of the fridge for more than five minutes, even in winter, without it showing signs of melting.
But according to influencer Sarah’s Day her new blue butter bell is a god-send.
Not only does it look aesthetically pleasing on her kitchen bench but it also keeps her usually hardened butter soft.
Her followers were “obsessed” with the tiny kitchen ornament and vowed to purchase it themselves.
“Me just leaving butter out no matter the season. I’ve never got sick off butter being left out. But also I love how cute this is so I think I’ll invest #influenced,” one woman wrote.
“Love mine! I got one from a creator in Melbourne,” said another.
A third added: “Le Creuset is the best — they have the best everything!”
There are two colours to choose from in Australia — red and blue — but others living overseas have also showcased a plain white Le Creuset-branded butter bell.
