EAT! Comedians Sooshi Mango know the best spaghetti bolognese recipe — classic Italian with a side of laughs

Ingredients
- 1½ tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 500g minced (ground) beef
- 2 × 700g bottles passata
- 1 bay leaf
- 3–4 fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp sugar
Method
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until golden brown and fragrant.
- Add the beef and fry until browned.
- Add the remaining ingredients, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for one hour. Stir the sauce from time to time; if it becomes too thick, add a little water.
