Popular O’Food Korean BBQ meat marinades sold at Woolworths, Coles pulled from shelves over allergen risk

Customers have been warned against eating two popular sauce products after undeclared allergens were detected in the marinade.

The O’Food Korean BBQ Bulgogi Beef Marinade and Korean BBQ Spicy Pork Marinade were incorrectly labelled as being gluten-free.

The sauces are sold nationwide at Woolworths, Coles Asian Grovers, and independent retailers including IGA.

Food Standards Australia has warned any consumers with a gluten allergy or intolerance against consuming the product, as they “may have a reaction” if they do.

They are advised to check their kitchens for affected bottles: which are the 280g Spicy Port Marinade bottle with a Best Before date of March 10, 2025, and the Bulgogi Beef Marinade bottles with a Best Before date of April 16, 2025.

“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the Food Standards warning said.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
