Thursday’s highly anticipated $40 million Powerball draw is fast approaching, and punters looking to get a leg up can find out the luckiest numbers.

The luckiest number that wise punters will be looking to have on their slip is No.9, which has been drawn a staggering 103 times since the current Powerball began in April 2018, according to playcasino.com.

It has been drawn more than any other number across the 441 Thursday lotto games, edging out the close second of 17 which has hit in 102 games.

In a fitting third place, both 7 and 11 have tied with 100 draws each, while 18 trails with 95 hits.

While the least drawn is lowly number 31, which has shown up just 70 times — an unlikely feat given that if every number was drawn equally often they would have shown up at least 88 times.

The most crucial number to hit is the all-important Powerball, and punters who opt against a Powerpik slip will be eyeing off No.2 — which has appeared 31 times.

A far cry from 12 which has been the Powerball just 13 times, including in last weeks draw that had no division one win.

Players looking to have their life-changed have until 6pm tonight when the mega draw is pulled.
