The Front Bar's Andy Maher and The Outer Sanctum podcast host Emma Race have placed their beloved Clifton Hill home on the market.

In an emotional Instagram post, the presenter and founder of Making The Call shared that the home has been "one of the great loves" of her life.

"She has held our family as it has grown and been the backdrop of almost two decades of memories. We have loved every second.

"She is on the market as we prepare for our family's next chapter which will be a few 'burbs over from Clifton Hill," the post read.

The football enthusiasts purchased the home in 2009 for $1.4 million and raised their three daughters within it.

The property is now listed with a price guide of $2.5 million to $2.7 million with a forthcoming auction scheduled for October 23 at 5pm.

Jellis Craig Fitzroy agents Antony Woodley and Antony Harbor are managing the listing.

Nestled on a leafy laneway, the four-bedroom home has been architecturally-designed by Megan Hamer with garden views from every angle.

Spread across two floors, the ground level features an open-plan kitchen and living area with an open fireplace, separate lounge room, home office and laundry.

Upstairs are the four bedrooms, each with built-in robes, and a master with ensuite. There is also an additional bathroom and lounge area.

The outdoor areas have been designed to utilise every square inch of space with multiple alfresco areas, including a sunlit garden terrace, a swimming pool with sundeck and firepit area amongst mature trees.

One of its most impressive features is the vine-covered facade, set back behind electric gates for additional security.

Eagle-eyed fans of the couple would have spotted the home in many of their social media happy snaps over the years.

Last year, Race shared photos of the facade covered in colourful Christmas decorations.

Despite its quiet location, the property is close to Darling Gardens, riverside walking trails, local schools, cafes and public transport, not to mention its only minutes away from Melbourne CBD.

As Race wrote in her Instagram post, the home is a "country girl in a city world."
