THE NEW YORK TIMES: David Lynch’s Hollywood Hills home is listed for $22 Million

A Sprawling Estate Near Mulholland Drive
Filmmaker David Lynch’s private compound in Los Angeles is on the market for $22 million eight months after his death at age 78.
The property, a nearly 2.5-acre hillside enclave along Senalda Road in Hollywood Hills, was where Lynch lived and worked for more than three decades. It includes five main structures, totaling around 11,000 square feet of interior space, with a combined 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

He even used the exterior of a large Brutalist structure near the road, where he had a studio and loft-style art space, for the 1997 film “Lost Highway.”
Anchoring the Lynch compound is the midcentury modern Beverly Johnson House, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and was designed in 1963 by Frank Lloyd Wright Jr., a son of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Eric Lloyd Wright, Frank Lloyd Wright’s grandson, designed a guesthouse and pool.
Lynch was known for dark, surreal movies and TV shows, including the series “Twin Peaks” and the mystery thriller film “Blue Velvet.”
Listing the property is Marc Silver of The Agency.
Tribeca Penthouse for Sabrina Carpenter
Pop star and actress Sabrina Carpenter reportedly bought a duplex penthouse in Manhattan from Cassandra Grey, the founder of the beauty brand Violet Grey. The closing price was $15 million, which was below the nearly $16.5 million that Grey had paid for it three years ago.
The apartment, on Leonard Street in Tribeca, extends 2,900 square feet, with three bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. There’s an additional 973 square feet of outdoor space spread over four terraces.
Carpenter is on tour to promote her newly released album, “Man’s Best Friend.”
The listing agent, Frances Katzen of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, declined to comment.

Jim Irsay’s Luxurious Retreat
The lakeside home of Jim Irsay, the owner of Indianapolis Colts who died in May, is being sold by his estate. The asking price is $19.99 million.
The nearly 6-acre compound, in Culver, Indiana, about a two-hour drive southeast of Chicago, is situated along Lake Maxinkuckee and includes several buildings and resort-like amenities.
The nearly 14,000-square-foot main house has eight bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and two powder rooms. The guesthouse contains three more bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms.
There’s also an eight-car garage; a recreation building with a lap pool, hot tub, steam room and fitness areas; and an entertainment complex featuring a four-lane bowling alley, game arcade, bar and shooting range.
Among the outdoor luxuries: a firepit, a sand volleyball court and a 4,000-square-foot private dock.
Andrea Kelly of Encore Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing broker.
Co-op Sale for William Lauder
Billionaire businessman William P. Lauder, who is chair of the board of directors of the Estée Lauder Cos., continues to pare down his real estate portfolio. He just sold one of his Manhattan apartments — this one at the landmark 998 Fifth Ave. co-op — for $57 million.
The buyer was Evan Cheng, a founder of Mysten Labs, a blockchain infrastructure company based in Palo Alto, California.
The sale, in an apparent off-market deal, earned Lauder a tidy profit. He had bought the Upper East Side apartment eight years ago for $35 million. The unit offers stunning views of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park.
Lauder, a grandson of Estée Lauder, put another Upper East Side apartment, at 778 Park Ave., on the market for $38 million, and he is selling two oceanfront parcels in Palm Beach, Florida.
Kate Pierson’s Love Shack
Kate Pierson, the lead singer of the B-52s, and her wife, artist Monica Coleman, are selling their rustic cabin in Woodstock, New York. The list price is $1.1 mi.
The home, known as “Kate’s Lazy Cabin,” has served as a creative retreat for both women since 2004. The two also operated a 10-cabin motel in nearby Mount Tremper, New York, but sold that property in 2021 for $3.4 million.

Built in the early 1950s, the Woodstock house, in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, sits on 2 wooded acres. It has 1,334 square feet of interior space, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Pierson is one of the original members of the B-52s, a new-wave band that was founded in 1976 and whose best-known songs include “Rock Lobster,” “Roam,” and, of course, “Love Shack.”
Diana Polack and Jason Nadeau of Compass are the listing brokers.
‘Real Housewife’ of Miami in Coral Gables
Dr. Nicole Martin, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” and her fiance, Anthony Lopez, a lawyer, have traded one mansion for another in Coral Gables, Florida.
The couple recently paid $34 million for a home on Biscayne Bay in the gated Gables Estates community, just weeks after selling an estate in the nearby Old Cutler Bay community, reportedly to singer Robbie Williams.
Their new house, on just under an acre, is 12,543 square feet. There are seven bedrooms and 7 1/2 bathrooms, along with a fully equipped home gym, a four-car garage and a pool. The property takes full advantage of its proximity to the bay, with its numerous terraces and a private dock with a boat lift.
Martin, who is an anaesthesiologist and a skin care entrepreneur, starred in “RHOM” from 2021 to 2024.
She and Lopez were represented by Dennis Carvajal of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty; Carvajal also represented the seller with his colleague Maria Marin-Sanchez.
Medieval English Castle to Call Home
For those who’ve always dreamed of owning a historic castle in England, this mixed-use property may be for you.
Appleby Castle, in Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria, just north of Manchester, is scheduled to be auctioned on Oct. 30 by Knight Frank Auctions. The guide price is $11 million, which is far lower than its roughly $18 million list price from early last year.
The 12th-century, stone castle, currently divided into a boutique hotel and residence, is set on 25 parklike acres. It has a total of 23 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms and several open fireplaces.
The castle also comes with a rich history. It was once owned by King Richard II and Lady Anne Clifford.
