More embarrassing correspondence between the former UK princess and the child sex offender have been revealed.

The former Duchess of York wrote to Jeffrey Epstein thanking him for “being the brother I have always wished for”.

The exchange, sent on August 3, 2009, is between Epstein and someone referred to as “Sarah”, and was among more than three million documents published by the US Department of Justice relating to the disgraced paedophile financier.

In the email, “Sarah” thanks Epstein and refers to discussions she has been having with retailers regarding her “Sarah Ferguson brand”.

“In just one week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted,” she wrote.

“I have never been more touched by a friend’s kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls.

“Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for.”

In another email a year later, she called Epstein a legend.

“You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe my love and gratitude for your generosity and kindness,” she writes.

“Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.”

In another exchange between the pair, Ferguson asked Epstein to pay her $27,000 rent after a failed business venture, while in an email between Epstein and a redacted address he refers to waiting “for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!”.

Epstein later asked Ferguson in 2010 if there was any chance of her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie saying hello during a visit to London.

In 2010, the now-disgraced Prince Andrew’s office wrote to Epstein on behalf of Ferguson to invite him to Andrew’s 50th birthday party at St James’s Palace. Epstein also told a fund manager by email that “Fergie said she could organise tea in the Buckingham Palace apartments… or Windsor Castle”.

The emails also reveal Epstein wanted Ferguson to release a statement saying he was “not a pedo” and that she had been “duped” into believing false allegations about him.

Epstein wrote to publicist Mike Sitrick saying: “I think that Fergie can now say, I am not a pedo… She was DUPED into believing false stories.”

The documents also show Epstein received and sent multiple news articles related to the former duchess regarding her divorce from the King’s brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and her finances.

Andrew has faced allegations, which he strenuously denies, that he sexually assaulted a teenage Virginia Giuffre after she was trafficked by Epstein.

He paid millions to Giuffre, a woman he has claimed never to have met, to settle a civil sexual assault claim in 2022.

Andrew stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after an interview on BBC Newsnight, but the publication of Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and the US government’s release of documents from Epstein’s estate brought more scrutiny over his relationship with the financier.

It led to the King officially stripping his disgraced brother of both his HRH style and his prince title.

The latest revelations about Epstein’s ties to the UK royal family come as Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit apologised over her association with the child sex trafficker.

The Norwegian royal is mentioned 1000 times in the latest batch of files released, covering contact between the pair from 2011 to 2014.

According to the Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv, Mette-Marit met Epstein several times in the United States and in Oslo in 2011 and 2013.

The publication of the explosive emails comes at a very bad time for the crown princess, as her eldest son, Marius Borg Høiby, is due to stand trial for rape on Tuesday.

Høiby is charged with 38 counts, including rape, abuse in close relationships, bodily harm, damage to property, and violations of restraining orders.

Mette-Marit told Epstein he “tickles my brain”, that he was “such a sweetheart”, and asked whether it was “inappropriate for a mother to suggest two naked women carrying a surfboard for my 15-year-old son’s wallpaper?”.

The Norwegian palace confirmed to broadcaster NRK that Mette-Marit had borrowed Epstein’s house through a mutual friend.

The crown princess stayed there for four days with a friend, according to Guri Varpe, spokeswoman for the Norwegian royal family.

She also met Epstein during this visit, Varpe said.

However, Mette-Marit never stayed on the multimillionaire’s private island, Little Saint James.

The crown princes said she had “not checked Epstein’s background more thoroughly”, in a statement.

She had shown “poor judgment” and regretted “having had any contact with Epstein at all”.

“It’s just embarrassing,” she continued.
