Pauline Hanson has appealed to young Australians feeling aggrieved by the May Federal Budget and framed the Albanese Government’s capital gains tax changes as an attack on aspiration.

“Young people are the latest victims of the Government’s lies,” she said during her NPC address.

“The Prime Minister and the Treasurer are desperate, and they keep saying that anyone who opposes the Budget measures is opposing the opportunity for young people to get into housing.

“More than 40,000 18- to 24-year-olds will lose out to Chalmers’ capital gains tax.

“There are now over 215,000 under 35-year-olds who will see less income from their investments.

“Punishing ambitious and aspirational young people who are trying to build a future, to build wealth, to build independence and to invest in Australia, Albanese and Chalmers are heading in the wrong direction.”

Pauline Hanson has labelled transgender an “ideology” in her National Press Club address and declared someone born without a penis “is not a man”.

She said Australia needed to acknowledge the “biological truth” and reject transgender women in changerooms or women’s sport.

“Just because you lop off your penis and then wear a dress doesn’t make you a woman,” she declared.

“This transgender ideology is infecting all of society.

“The Labor Party, the Liberal Party, and the Greens aren’t prepared to articulate the biological truth.

“We have almost every instrument of government dedicated to a transgender ideology, which seeks to redefine humanity.

“I am not opposed to transgender people. I am simply saying that a transgender woman should not be allowed into women’s sport or into a woman’s changing (rooms).”

Pauline Hanson says if One Nation is given the chance to govern, there will be “big changes”, including scrapping government-funded broadcaster SBS, and subscriptions introduced for the ABC in cities.

“The SBS will be gone. There’s no need for it anymore; the internet has overtaken the need for it,” Senator Hanson told the National Press Club.

“The ABC will still exist, but in a very different form. Taxpayers will still fund some of the ABC’s operations in regional, rural, and remote areas where there is a lack of commercial media.

“But in the cities which are already saturated with media outlets across the political spectrum, the ABC will only be a subscription service.”

After Anthony Albanese criticised One Nation on Wednesday for not having serious policy about tackling cost-of-living in Australia, Pauline Hanson has hit back in her NPC address.

Senator Hanson highlighted her recent “Fire the Liar” campaign which calls out Mr Albanese for lying about several issues, including reducing energy prices.

She accused Labor’s push for renewables as the “central source of national poverty”.

“Remember, when first campaigning to be elected, the Albanese Government said it would reduce power bills by $275.

“Albanese lied to become elected, and Australians are paying for it.

“The public are sick to the back teeth with these lies.

“Let me come back to energy, the central source of national poverty.

“Because individuals and businesses are suffering from this net zero nonsense, the government shovels out millions of dollars of taxpayers’ money just to justify their failing energy policy.

“One Nation will end this renewable energy bribery – grants, tax incentives, concessional finance, even the government underwriting anything that sponsors the whole net zero hoax.”

Senator Hanson questioned “where’s peanut Bowen?” and “Where is he with his reliable energy?”, adding that One Nation would “dismantle” Labor’s energy policy if elected.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has turned her focus to the Prime Minister, declaring Anthony Albanese “lied to become elected, and Australians are paying for it”.

“How many times were you, the media, condemned for simply asking before the last election whether a Labor Government would make changes to capital gains tax and negative gearing? Didn’t they lie to the electorate?

“I am meant to be a voice for that electorate. The public are sick to the back teeth with these lies,” Senator Hanson told the press club in Canberra.

“Let me be blunt, if you lie once, why won’t you lie again and again and again?”

A mid-speech stunt in which a protest poster was unfurled next to Ms Hanson has been stymied by NPC staff.

The yellow poster, which pointed out the fact that Ms Hanson voted against increasing the minimum wage, appeared next to her about 15 minutes into her speech.

Staff from the National Press Club were quick to jump on the poster, pulling it down.

The CEO Maurice Reilly said “We’re not doing stunts.”

After a clash with a Nine News journalist while in Perth recently, Pauline Hanson has made a point of addressing the media outlet at the start of her National Press Club speech.

The One Nation leader had been peppered with questions from a reporter after touching down at Perth airport why she hadn’t travelled on a plane mining billionaire Gina Rinhart had donated.

“Well, I am aware that I am at the National Press Club, but I am delighted that I can speak to the people of Australia, and they are the people to whom I am accountable,” she said.

“Is Channel Nine here? I just want to clarify that… no Gina’s jet is not broken and I didn’t come ‘cattle class’.”

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson says that Australia is “losing its identity” due to surging migration.

“Only a fool would ignore the growing language problem which is a function of immigration,” she said.

“In the 2021 census, more than half of Australian residents, 51.5 per cent, were born overseas or had one parent born overseas. 51.5 per cent. Is that supported by the Australian electorate? Is that what Australia wants?

“Do Australians feel that the nation is losing its identity along with its values? We all know the answer to that.

“Under the failed policy of multiculturalism, all cultures are allowed equivalence to ours. Surely opposing that is not racist, it’s common sense.

“My party is rightly called One Nation. It is clear what we stand for, One Nation under one flag and proudly Australian.”

Pauline Hanson has focused on “immigration and housing” in the beginning of her National Press Club address, insisting they are the biggest issues raised with One Nation.

She said housing demand in Australia was “substantially outstripping housing supply” and pointed to surging migration over the past two decades.

“My overriding concern and that of the people I talk to, is that politicians today are good at talking but not listening,” she said.

“In recent times, when I have listened? Well, I’ll tell you what the issues are – firstly, immigration and housing.”

The Queensland Senator said Australia’s net overseas migration had reached an “unthinkable” level.

“Undeniably immigration or immigration policy has our country in the state of crisis,” she said.

“At the centre of this crisis is the utterly flawed policy of multiculturalism.

“We cannot be a multicultural society.

“We are a multiracial society, but we must be monocultural. Australians must live under the one cultural umbrella.”

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has opened her National Press Club address by rejecting the Welcome to Country, labelling it “divisive”.

“Don’t expect a divisive Welcome to Country from me - this beautiful country belongs to all Australians born here and those who have joined us,” she said.

The minor party leader has long criticised Welcome to Country ceremonies and recently stepped in to defend new recruit David Farley - after his call to display Indigenous flags at his new office put him at odds with his party.
