Donald Trump tells Hamas to return bodies, gives 48-hour warning before counties could ‘take action’
US President Donald Trump has issued a blunt warning to Hamas, threatening to ‘take action’ with multiple countries if they do not follow his instructions within 48 hours.
On Truth Social, Mr Trump said Hamas would only be “treated fairly” following the historic peace deal signing if they “comply with their obligations”, demanding they return bodies, including those of two Americans, immediately.
“We have a very strong PEACE in the Middle East, and I believe it has a good chance of being EVERLASTING,” Mr Trump wrote.

“Some of the bodies are hard to reach, but others they can return now and, for some reason, they are not.
“Perhaps it has to do with their disarming, but when I said, ‘Both sides would be treated fairly,’ that only applies if they comply with their obligations.
“Let’s see what they do over the next 48 hours. I am watching this very closely.”
The comments come as Mr Trump commenced his travel to Asia for meetings with global leaders in Malaysia and Japan.
During the visit, Mr Trump is expected to speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping in hopes of securing an end to the Russia-Ukraine war.
