The final day of the Democratic National Convention has come to an end.

Taking place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, day four included a moving performance from singer P!NK.

Actress and producer Eva Longoria said ‘Yes She Can’ and The Chicks performed a clunky performance of the national anthem.

Vice President Kamala Harris officially accepted the Democratic nomination for President and laid out her plans for Gaza, Ukraine, abortion rights and opportunity for all.

Gabrielle Giffords makes emotional plea

Former member of the house Gabrielle Giffords says Kamala Harris can beat the gun lobby.

Giffords was shot in a car park, along with 18 others, during a constituent meeting in Arizona.

“She will defend our freedom, she will save lives,” she says.

“Join me in voting for Kamala Harris.”

“Kamala Harris won’t just empathise, she will act,” she said.

Gun safety takes centre stage with Sandy Hook survivor

A teacher from Sandy Hook has taken to the stage to talk about the terrifying day that changed her life and saw 26 killed.

“I started the day with my second graders,” she said.

“Suddenly a loud crash like metal folding chats

“154 gunshots blaring.

“Hiding in the coats, trying to sing with my students, trying to read to them.

“Trying to drown out the sounds of terror, crying running.

“I carry that horrific day with me every day.

“20 beautiful first-grade children and six of my beautiful colleagues were killed.

“They should still be here.”

Hughley then spoke about the group ‘Republicans for Kamala’.

“I guess Donald Trump will finally know what it’s like when you get left for a younger woman.”

Actor D.L. Hughley says ‘What’s happening California’

Starting with what a joke that didn’t really land, Hughley said “What’s happening California’ to a puzzled crowd.

Getting back on track, he spoke about race.

“Trump is saying Kamala isn’t Black,” he said.

“I guarantee you this, Kamala has been Black a lot longer than Trump has been a Republican.

“The only way he will be able to keep Kamala out of The White House is to buy it and refuse to rent it to her.”

‘Karma, like a comma in a sentence’

“How do you pronounce it,” Washington asked Harris’s nieces.

“First, you say Karma, like a comma in a sentence,” Amara said.

“Then you say la like ‘la la la’,” Leela added.

“Put it together and it’s Kamala”

The crowd went on the chant ‘KAMALA’ before Washington added: “For President.”

Kerry Washington teaches the world how to say Kamala

American actress Kerry Washington has delivered an exceptional addition to the DNC.

“It’s come to my attention that there are people who struggle or pretend to struggle with our future president’s name.”

“Confusion is acceptable, but disrespect is not.

“Washington then brought out Amara and Leela, Harris’s nieces to help.”

The Chicks ‘perform’ the national anthem

The American national anthem appears to challenge many musicians.

Musicians can go down in history for a powerful performance, like Whitney Houston at the Super Bowl in 1991, while others, like Fergie, go down in history for a complete fail.

Sadly, that appears to be the case for The Chicks at the Democratic National Convention.

The trio attempted what could be described as a complex, three-part harmony rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

One member of the group could be seen pressing at her ear, suggesting her in-ear audio monitors were not working.

Democratic Vice President nominee Tim Walz is in the building

After a wild drumming performance, DJ Metro is back, playing Beyoncé (is it a hint of what is to come).

American flags were waving in unison en masse as Tim Walz made his way to his seat.

Walz was then seen dancing along to “Born in the USA.”

In what appears to be DJ Metro’s final set of the night, he spun the decks so much that it just sounded like someone was playing music with a faulty AUX cord.
