Optus customers are once again experiencing mobile service outages across the country.

The embattled telco put out a statement on Monday afternoon advising its customers of the issue.

“We are aware of an issue affecting mobile services for some Optus customers,” a spokesperson said.

It’s understood 120,000 customers have been impacted.

Those seeing “No Service” or “SOS” on their phones have been advised to restart their phones to restore regular service.

Customers are still able to make emergency calls to triple-0, Optus said.

“We are actively working with our partner Ericsson and have noticed a significant decline in the number of customers impacted,” the spokesperson said.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience while we continue to investigate.”

The company has been closely scrutinised since a major outage resulted in multiple deaths due to emergency services being inaccessible.
