The sides went goal-for-goal for pretty much the whole quarter but Nick Daicos was the difference.
He has 21 touches, five more than anyone else on the field.
McCarthy leads the Eagles with 16 disposals while Bailey Williams has been huge.
The forward connection is a real problem for West Coast and they have wasted most of their inside 50s.
But McQualter will fancy his side’s chances of they can take the game deep.

Stretching
West Coast can’t afford to concede again here.
Collingwood have kicked back-to-back goals for the first time in the match and have a handy 10-point lead.
They have notched up their forward pressure and the Eagles are struggling to extract under the heat.

Waterman!
Williams wins the tap, takes the clearance and gets the ball towards Waterman who gets held.
And the big forward finds his radar and is on the board.

Daicos strike
Duursma is starting to get burnt in the contest by Daicos.
The Pies star kicks a smart goal and the young Eagle just allowed him too much room.
Duursma has been strong for West Coast in general play but the tag needs to go to Daicos pronto.

New role
Tom Cole is playing off half forward in a defensive role.
He’s had a mixed start giving up a couple turnovers but his tackling has been important a few times.
Davis is having a good day for the Eagles.
In a worrying sign for the visitors, Nick Daicos is now motoring with 14 touches.

Yips
Jack Crisp is still waiting to kick goal 100 after missing from dead in front.
He’s been waiting weeks for the milestone because he just can’t buy it.

The Eagles have won the first quarter for the first time this season!
It helps that Collingwood missed six times but this is huge for the young Eagles in front of hostile and seething crowd.
Reid has three clearances early and the Eagles are flying in the midfield as Bailey Williams follows up his good work from last week.
Hamish Davies has the most touches on the ground with eight while Duursma is relishing his first steps at the home of football.

Titanic start
Both teams are throwing themselves into this game and the Eagles look the sharper of the two teams.
The Pies have crafted more chances but have kicked four behinds but the visitors are finding a way to coast-to-coast regularly and lead the inside 50 count.
Their pressure is good but is yet to reach the heights of last week.

Statement made
Harley Reid isn’t over awed by the occassion.
Tighest of angles!
Lipinski has made sure the fans know he’s back.
Pinned against the boundary he somehow works the angle and drop punts through a goal.
It’s still be a very bright start from the Eagles. The Pies got some lucky bounces in defence.
