AFL: Fremantle make their first trip to Melbourne in red-hot form as they aim for a seventh straight victory against a revamped Western Bulldogs line-up.
The Dockers have not won seven on the trot since 2015, but the Bulldogs will hope Tim English’s comeback can help them out of their tailspin sparked by an injury crisis.
These two sides played out a thriller in the final round of last season, and it should be another cracking prime time clash.

FULL TIME: Fremantle 17.12 (114) Western Bulldogs 15.12 (102)
Fremantle have got out of jail again as their best players came back on rotation to stymie the late Western Bulldogs late comeback.
Hayden Young went nuts with three goals, Luke Jackson had a massive second half as Shai Bolton kicked the match winner to go with his 30 touches and nine clearances.
Marcus Bontempelli had 33 touches and two goals but it just wasn’t enough.
Is that the match winner from Bolton!
Luke Jackson catches Marcus Bontempelli just as he threatened to burst off half back.
Pack forms aroound Freo’s goal square and with not space snaps over his own head to get the margin out to 11 points
Dogs grab another!
Bulldogs go with pace after hitting Arty Jones in the middle.
He goes quickly, and Lachlan McNiel is out the back to take an uncontested mark.
He converts and it’s five points with two minutes to go.
BONT ARE YOU KIDDING
Maybe this isn’t over!
The Dockers had all their best players on the bench and the Bulldogs have kicked three goals to bring it back to nine points!
Lachlan Bramble produced a crazy snap before Bontempelli wins the ball from the middle and on the run nails the shot from 60m.
Crazy stuff.
This game is over
Treacy as another and now Andrewe Brayshaw pops up from stoppage to make it seven in a row for the Dockers.
Western Bulldogs have just fallen apart.
But Brayshaw is a bit overzealous in the celebration and pokes Josh Treacy straight in the eye, and he’s off for a blood rule!
‘Ridiculous’ Young puts Freo further ahead
Hayden Young you cannot do that!
Is on the boundary but just gies checkside and bends it through on the angle and the Dockers have five straight goals!
Alister Nicholson calls it ridiculous on the comms and frankly it is.
Heath Chapman kicks a rare goal!
Just the third for his career has he finds himself forward to receive the handball out of the contest as the Dogs get sucked towards teh ball.
Snaps on goal off a step and it’s his first goal since 2024!
Final term underway
Bulldogs with an early win as they have it locked inside 50 but a dangerous ball-up is thumped through for a behind from Brennan Cox
Amiss misses on the siren
Bolton again wins the ball with under 10 seconds to go and hits Amiss just as the siren blows.
But he misses the kick to the right as the margin goes to four points.
Incredible five minutes to end that term for the Dockers as they kick three goals to storm into the lead.
They have all the momentum now and you feel it will take something special for the Bulldogs to come back at them in the final term.
