AFL: Fremantle make their first trip to Melbourne in red-hot form as they aim for a seventh straight victory against a revamped Western Bulldogs line-up.

The Dockers have not won seven on the trot since 2015, but the Bulldogs will hope Tim English’s comeback can help them out of their tailspin sparked by an injury crisis.

These two sides played out a thriller in the final round of last season, and it should be another cracking prime time clash.

This game is over

Treacy as another and now Andrewe Brayshaw pops up from stoppage to make it seven in a row for the Dockers.

Western Bulldogs have just fallen apart.

But Brayshaw is a bit overzealous in the celebration and pokes Josh Treacy straight in the eye, and he’s off for a blood rule!

‘Ridiculous’ Young puts Freo further ahead

Hayden Young you cannot do that!

Is on the boundary but just gies checkside and bends it through on the angle and the Dockers have five straight goals!

Alister Nicholson calls it ridiculous on the comms and frankly it is.

Heath Chapman kicks a rare goal!

Just the third for his career has he finds himself forward to receive the handball out of the contest as the Dogs get sucked towards teh ball.

Snaps on goal off a step and it’s his first goal since 2024!

Final term underway

Bulldogs with an early win as they have it locked inside 50 but a dangerous ball-up is thumped through for a behind from Brennan Cox

Amiss misses on the siren

Bolton again wins the ball with under 10 seconds to go and hits Amiss just as the siren blows.

But he misses the kick to the right as the margin goes to four points.

Incredible five minutes to end that term for the Dockers as they kick three goals to storm into the lead.

They have all the momentum now and you feel it will take something special for the Bulldogs to come back at them in the final term.

Young puts Dockers in front!

Forward 50 stoppage and Young has the space to gather and snap through his second for the term to put the Dockers in front for the first time tonight!

Three goals in three minutes!

Treacy makes it a two-point game!

Naughton fumbles the ball inside the Dogs 50 and Murphy Reid helps launch the transtion.

Bolton to Wagner, who goes over the back of Khamis as Treacy runs into an open goal square.

Young hits back after Dogs break run

Bailey Dale is gone for all money but stands up in the tackle to handball to Bontempelli who finds Will Lewis.

He converts but from the next centre ball-up Hayden Young wins the ball out the front of stoppage and on the run from 50 pings through a goal.

Fremantle are coming

Desperate defence from the Dogs but Fremantle are just pouring on the presure.

They’ve had nine of the last 10 inside 50s and the Bulldogs cannot work the ball forward of centre square.

Treacy gets a freebie!

Nick Coffield has played so well in defence but his kick out of the square is cut of by Treacy who has a look on goal about 35m out on a tight angle and puts it through.

Margin back to single figures for the first time since early in the first term.
