It’s fast approaching now-or-never territory for AFL clubs looking to move players in and out, with the clock ticking ahead of Wednesday afternoon’s trade deadline.

Rawlings joins Fremantle
Fremantle have made a move this trade period but it’s a change in the background as Norwood premiership coach and former Richmond caretaker Jade Rawlings joins as an assistant.
He joins the team under coach Justin Longmuir after Boyd left the Dockers to return to Melbourne for family reasons, having been at the club for four years.
Off-field move
Brendon Bolton has gone to St Kilda from Collingwood joining Ross Lyon as an assistant coach.
The Saints have also welcomed former Melbourne and Geelong defender Jared Rivers as an assistant ahead of next season.
Rivers was a development coach and VFL coach at Collingwood between 2015 and 2019 before four seasons at Collegians Football Club in the VAFA.
More potential Carlton moves
Tom Morris is reporting the Bulldogs are interested in Carlton midfielder Matthew Kennedy. He’s out of contract next season and perhaps surplus to the Blues’ current midfielder.

West Coast’s new Head of Development
The Eagles have had a busy morning and have now made an off-field move acquiring Jamie Maddocks as a new Head of Development.
He has been at the Bulldogs for the past five seasons and will be in charge of getting the most out of their young talent.
Maddocks joins a revamped West Coast coaching group under new Senior Coach Andrew McQualter, and will work alongside Jacob Brennan (Development Coach – Forwards) and returning club great Shannon Hurn (Development Coach – Game Fundamentals).
Saints keen on Kemp
A new name on the table is St Kilda reportedly interested in Blues defender Brodie Kemp.
He has a contract for next season but the Saints will be looking to cover the loss of Josh Battle.
