The Sydney Swans have delisted Indhi Kirk, son of club legend Brett Kirk, among three other list changes.

Kirk, two-time grand finallist Robbie Fox, former Saints defender Ben Paton, and three-game youngster Caleb Mitchell have all been told their contracts will not be renewed after the Swans’ disappointing season.

Kirk, a product of the Swans academy, was taken as a category B rookie in 2023 but failed to debut at AFL level. The 20-year-old played 43 VFL games.

Kirk’s father Brett won two best and fairests and a premiership across 241 games at the Swans, captaining the club for five years. He was All-Australian in 2004 and is a member of the club’s Hall of Fame.

Fox’s last game in the AFL for the Swans was the 2024 grand final thumping at the hands of Brisbane, when he had 21 disposals and kicked a goal.

The 32-year-old was one of Sydney’s few shining lights in that game, as he was in their nightmare 2022 grand final against Geelong, when he had 26 touches — second only to Chad Warner for the Swans.

Fox’s 2025 season was derailed by injury, which restricted him to just a handful of VFL games.

He played 105 games at senior level in total after being taken with pick 34 in the 2017 rookie draft.

Paton was picked up by the Swans as a delisted free agent at the end of last season after playing 71 games for St Kilda between 2018 and 2024.

The 26-year-old featured in the first two games of this season before being dropped, adding just another two for the rest of the year.

Mitchell played one game this year and two in 2024.

Swans head of footy Leon Cameron thanks the quartet for their efforts at the club.

“It’s always a really difficult time of year when we need to make these list decisions,” Cameron said.

“Robbie, Caleb, Indhi and Ben have all made significant contributions to the Swans through their time here at the club. We are very grateful for their hard work and commitment.

“Robbie, in particular, will be remembered fondly within the footy club having played over 100 games for us which is no small achievement.

“On behalf of everyone at the club, I wish all boys the very best for their futures.”
