Western derby 60: Fremantle claim victory over West Coast Eagles
West Coast and Fremantle may enter the derby winless, but make no mistake, there is more than four points on the line in western derby 60.
Fremantle will be eager to take the pressure off after a dire 0-2 start to the new campaign, where the hopes of a top-four berth are high.
Meanwhile, the Eagles showed heart in a fighting loss to the reigning premiers in Brisbane last week after a first-round slaughter to Gold Coast, and they will sniff another derby ambush to give coach Andrew McQualter his first taste of victory.

He couldn’t be stopped and ends with 35 disposals, 10 clearances and 498 metres gained.

The Dockers get the job done and were the far better side pretty much all day.
It’s their first victory of the season and one they can now use to bounce into a favourable three-week schedule.
The Eagles showed the same issues they’ve had for two years, a lack of skill, fitness and midfield competitiveness.
Serong starred but Luke Jackson was also very good with Andrew Brayshaw not far behind him.
Ryan Maric and Liam Baker were strong for West Coast but the Eagles were beaten all over the ground.
Opening up
The Eagles had a good five minutes to grab two goals back but Amiss slips out the back to boot an easy one as Harley Reid lets Frederick go.
Looking at the medal; Serong is the prime candidate.
He’s had 35 disposals, 10 clearances and two metres shy of 500 metres gained.
