Star quick Josh Hazlewood returns to the Australian XI for the Brisbane Test, with Scott Boland the unlucky omission.

The hosts levelled the series 1-1 with a triumphant 10-wicket win in Adelaide, which followed India’s equally-comprehensive victory in Perth in the opening Test.

There are still question marks for Australia with Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja so far unconvincing at the top of the order, while India have concerns over the fitness of star quick Jasprit Bumrah.

Toss news

India have won the toss for the third Test in a row and have sent Australia in on a green deck.

The conditions are overcast and as always when cricket reaches the east coast, there is a chance of rain.

India make two changes with Ravi Jadeja and Akash Deep brought in while Josh Hazlewood returns for Australia.
