Follow live: Australia look to get better of India and overcome rain on day four of Third Test in Brisbane

Will the weather hold out long enough to give Australia the chance to tear through India in Brisbane?
Stay across the latest from the Gabba here!
Jadeja lifting
It’s been a superb knock from Ravi Jadeja in his first innings of the series.
He’s now farming the strike to protect Bumrah, and he launches a huge hit down the ground off Lyon for six in the process.
He’s 73 and India are 8-209, still 37 away from avoiding the follow-on.
STARC STRIKES!
India are 8 down!
Starc breaks through with just the fourth ball after the restart, with Siraj nicking one to Alex Carey while attempting a drive outside off with little footwork. The keeper takes an impressive catch diving to his right.
It’s now 8-201, with Jadeja starting to run out of partners as Jasprit Bumrah enters the arena.
Guess who’s back... back again...
Play is resuming! The rain delay (and tea break) ends, and Mitchell Starc is set to resume his over.
India are 7-201, with Jadeja on 65 and Siraj on 1 under still gloomy skies. They need another 45 to avoid the prospect of the follow-on - though it’s questionable whether the Aussies would enforce it, being a bowler short.
Two lots of bad news
There’s ANOTHER rain delay - and we’re likely to take an early tea break here at 7-201.
The second lot of bad news is a Josh Hazlewood update: He may miss the remainder of the series with a confirmed right calf strain.
It’s a big blow for the pace ace and the Aussies.
Dubious running
Jadeja and Siraj are ASKING for a run-out, here...
There’s been a couple of mix-ups and near-misses, including one that gets referred upstairs that very nearly costs Siraj his wicket.
But they live to tell the tale for now, and it’s 7-201.
GONE! Cummins strikes
Pat Cummins is really challenging Nitish Kumar... and gets his reward!
The batter is close to chopping on earlier in the over, and then does exactly that later on to succumb for 16.
It’s the breakthrough the Aussies sorely needed, and Mohammed Siraj comes to the crease at 7-194.
Increased workload
Mitchell Starc has just bowled his 500th delivery of the series - the most of any bowler on either side.
He’s one wicket away from what would be his 50th scalp at the Gabba - behind only Warne, McGrath and Lyon at the venue.

Lyon is probing and asking some questions at the other end, but India remain defiant at 6-187.
India 6-184
Starc and Lyon are on point upon resumption, but the Indians continue to knuckle down here.
Having lost four wickets inside the first 14 overs of the innings, they’ve lost just two more in the 40 overs since. How much will the absence of the metronomical Hazlewood tell on this attack across the final stretch of this match?
Play resumes
The Aussie team (minus Josh Hazlewood, who’s watching on from the changeroom) are out in the field, and Jadeja and Reddy are set to resume at the crease with India at 6-180.
Let’s see if we can get some extended play in for an hour before the scheduled tea break at 2.30pm (WA time)!
