Australia are in command in Galle after Steve Smith and Alex Carey dominated Sri Lanka.

Relive all the action below, with play again set for a 12.30pm (WA time).

Smith survives a review

Goes for a reverse sweep and his struck on the pads.

Sri Lanka reviews after a long discussion but this looks to be spinning down leg.

We don’t get to ball tracking however with ultraedge showing Smith got a touch on it on the way through.

Sri Lanka down to one review.

Smith into the 90s

He has looked a touch unsettled since tea and it looked like his back was giving him issues earlier.

But he’s still out there and happy to play second fiddle to Carey working a single down to long-on to move into the 90s.

Smith has been in incredible form since the Gabba Test. AUS 3/230

Deficit under 50

Alex Carey is just reverse sweeping at will here taking Peiris out to point for a pair of twos.

He comes down for a lap sweep which Mendis anticipates but the ball just flies just above his outstretched glove.

Australia now trail by 46.

200 up

Smith gets down on one knee to sweep the full ball from Jayasuriya to square leg to bring up the team 200 and move himself to 80.

Carey paddles a single around the corner.

Smith charges down and the spin takes this off the outside half of the bat but luckily it lands short of deep cover who runs around to field.

Carey gets another single with a sweep.

We're back and there’s 50 for Alex Carey

Peiris to open after the tea break with Carey on strike. Sri Lanka need to strike early here.

He gets a drive away down the long-off to bring up his 10th Test match 50.

Been a great innings when his team needed him.

TEA - AUS 3/197

A big win that session for Australia who despite losing Khawaja early put on 113 runs with Carey and Smith’s partnership now worth 106.

Carey is on 49 while Smith is eyeing off another century with 78.

The deficit is down to 60 and if these two can knock that off Australia will be in real command.

Sri Lanka had a couple half chances late but resorted to negative bowling outside leg stump towards the end of the session and were too quick to go into their shell.

100 partnership

Great work by this pair as they continue to work the ball into the gaps.

Smith is very lucky not to be bowled as a Peiris delivery bits and bounces to beat the inside the edge of his drive and just bounce over the middle stump.

Smith bring out more reverse sweeps while Carey as moved to 49.

Pace back on

Kumara comes back on to try and break the rhythm of this pair with the partnership now up to 72.

He keeps it on a good length outside off with Smith happy to defend out the over.

Deficit under 100

Steve Smith steps out and slaps another cover drive for four.

He’s timing looks so good and its such an elegant stroke as he moves to 66

Australia bring up 150

Smith works a single to square leg and it brings up the 150 for Australia.

They now trail by 107 but are within question marks over Inglis’ fitness and the inexperienced Connolly and Webster to come these two will need to get them close.
