Cricket: The series may be decided, but plenty of pride will be on the line in the fifth and final Test of The Ashes between Australia and England at the SCG.

The tourists were able to put what had been a torrid tour where they surrendered the urn inside 11 match days behind them by claiming their first victory on Australian shores in 15 years in a fast-forward Boxing Day Test.

Australia’s hopes of a 5-0 whitewash were swept away with the loss, but Steve Smith’s side will be looking to ensure England are sent home with a bitter taste in their mouths.

Stay across the latest Ashes action as Australia and England resume their battle in Sydney.

In the air! Smith goes to sweep and it comes off the top edge but lands safe and stops just short of the boundary for three.

Marnus has more control for a single.

BOWLED HIM!

WHAT A BALL AS IT RIPS PAST THE INSIDE EDGE TO TAKE TOP OF OFF STUMP!

Now then we have a game as Khawaja comes out to bat for one final time.

England give him a guard of honour as he comes to the crease.

Tongue to Smith who’d defending.

FOUR! Hint of width and Smith carves it through cover.

He follows it up with a single forward of point.

Jacks continues as Marnus flicks one.

Smith advances down and clips neatly pastmidwicket for two.

Tossed up and there’s a single to midwicket.

SIX! Marnus comes down now and hoiks Jacks into the stands over midwicket!

We’re back

Smith to the crease after lunch to face the rest of Tongue’s over.

Marnus flicks one wide of leg slip. 87 to win

WICKET - Weatherald c Potts b Tongue 34

Could be the last one before lunch.

Flash and miss! Short wide and Weatherald misses another cut as it moves away.

GONE THE SHORT BALL WORKS.

Surprises Weatherald who half pulls, half leaves and sends a top edge flying to fine leg, where Potts dives to take a good catch.

Ends a tough series for Weatherald and gives England a glimmer of hope as they head into lunch with 89 runs to play with.

14th Over - AUS 1-71

Will Jacks replaces Bethell.

Chance! Weatherald nearly spoons a return chance to Jacks but he can’t quite get there.

He pinches a single off the last ball.

Tongue to Marnus.

FOUR! After defending the first five, Marnus gets a hint of width, and he nails the cover drive.
