A full-strength Australia have won the toss and will bowl first against Bangladesh in their first match of the Twenty20 World Cup Super 8 stage.

For only the second time at the North American tournament, Australia will use their “big three” quicks Mitch Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood in tandem, in Antigua on Friday.

Back-up paceman Nathan Ellis and second spinner Ashton Agar drop out to accommodate the return of Cummins and Hazlewood, both rested from the last-start win over Scotland.

Big shout!

Rishad has come out swinging first ball! He tried a pretty agricultural heave across the line - almost identical to how Litton went the ball before.

Struck on the pads but Australia don’t send it up, despite how keen Matt Wade was on it.

Second one falls!

Zampa takes Australia’s second wicket!

Litton Das had done some hard yards early in the innings but has taken a pretty wild slash across the line and the leg-break has deflected off his thigh pad onto the stumps.

He falls for 16 off 25 and Australia get a look at the middle-order.

Zampa getting a few to turn, so it will be interesting to see if they run him through the middle overs or hold off on him.

It’s 2-58 after 8.3.

Through his first

Zampa got a bit of his control back in his last few balls there and a couple of them had a bit of bite off a skiddy deck.

That could be dangerous as we go on and part of the reason Mitch Marsh bowled first.

Bangladesh are 1-47 and Australia are rolling out Marcus Stoinis.

Got that one wrong!

Zampa has started slowly here! Najmul has just pulled a half-tracker through mid-wicket for four, splitting two fielders 20 metres apart.

Looked like a wrong-un gone wrong.

That’s the powerplay done

Australia will take that ... but after Hazlewood’s maiden and Starc’s first-over wicket, Bangladesh have been able to work their way back into the contest.

It’s 1/39 from six, with Zampa on now for some spin in the middle overs.

Australia stuck with the three frontline quicks, so they’ll need some tricks from Zampa here to make some inroads.

And another

A lovely shot from Litton Das and another boundary for Bangladesh.

With power play deliveries drying up, their top order needs to get moving and they are.

Another boundary for Bangladesh

Captain Najmul Shanto is throwing the bat at Josh Hazlewood after a disappointing start from Bangladesh.

The skipper sent the first ball of Hazlewood’s second over soaring over the rope to ease the pressure already building on his side.

Hazlewood at the other end

A great start for Australia as Starc and Hazlewood combine for the first and second over.

Starc got the early breakthrough in the first over, while Hazlewood went for a maiden in his first six balls.

4-1 after two.

Hello and welcome!

After a slight delay due to rain, the toss has taken place!

Australian skipper Mitch Marsh has won the toss and elected to bowl first, sending Bangladesh in to bat.

“It looks a decent wicket, I don’t think it’ll change too much over the 40 overs. Hopefully we can get stuck into it,” Marsh said.

The Aussies have made two changes, with Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood returning.

Ashton Agar and Nathen Ellis are the omissions.

Bangladesh have made one change, with Mahedi Hasan coming in for Jaker Ali.

AUSTRALIA:

David Warner, Travis Head, Mitch Marsh (c), Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tim David, Matthew Wade (wk), Pat Cummins, Mitch Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.

BANGLADESH: Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Shanto (c), Litton Das (wk), Shakib Al Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman
