Katrina Gorry injured as WSL title hopefuls Blues, Gunners win
The Matildas will nervously await an update on Katrina Gorry after the midfield dynamo suffered an ankle injury while playing for club side West Ham United.
Gorry, who has been a lock in Australia’s midfield alongside Arsenal young gun Kyra Cooney-Cross, was forced off in the 21st minute of Wast Ham’s controversial 2-0 Women’s Super League loss to Chelsea.
The 31-year-old had her right foot in a moon boot and was on crutches post-match, in worrying signs for Australia ahead of the Paris Olympics.

“She is in a boot - on a precautionary basis - as we want whatever swelling comes to settle down and then we will go from there.”
