The heat features Canadien star Summer McIntosh who finished fastest.
Armbruster impresses
Another Aussie has flown through the Butterfly heats but got caught late in a very fast heat.
Ben Armbruster had to wait for all of the times to be official to see if he goes through but got good news as he and Temple made the semifinals.
Butterfly
Matthew Temple has ridden a fantastic turn to give hometown hero Maxime Grousset a run for his money in the 100m Butterfly.
The Aussie made a slow start but nearly stole victory in the heat with a superb last 50 metres.
High Jump
Eleanor Patterson has started her Olympic campaign with a good jump in the High Jump qualification rounds.
She passed on the opening height before going over 1.88m easily.
Skeet shoot
Josh Bell is currently underway in the skeet shooting qualification rounds.
He has started alright scoring 24 in the first round.
Huge night ahead
There is plenty of action coming tonight with the 3x3 girls playing again before the Hockeyroos star.
The Boomers and Water Polo sides will also be in action while Australia is always a chance in the pool with heats underway from 5pm.
There is also rowing and athletics getting underway with field events.
Rampant win!
The Aussies are almost certain to get through to the knockout stages of the 3x3 women’s basketball after dismantling Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijanies fought back late but couldn’t stop the Aussies who played with grit and skill to win 21-12.
In form
Mansfield, Wilson and WA’s Maley have started perfectly!
They are keeping the pressure on and passing the ball around the court with quick passes until they can break into the paint.
Wilson is also still hot from deep.
