Paris Olympics 2024: Plenty of medals already on offer as day one of competition gets underway

Australia made a brilliant start to the Paris Games, snaring three gold medals on an action-packed opening day. Recap the best of the day one action here!

Dressage underway

As we role into today’s coverage, the Dressage is first up. Shane Rose completes his first routine for team Australia and scores a respectbale 65.60.

For those who don’t know Dressage as a reverse points sytem where you start with 100 and then lose points for every penalty.

Rose is just the second routine so far but there’s huge smiles after what has been a diffucly journey after a fall from his horse left him with a fractured pelvis that almost ended his Olympic campaign. While a mankini incident prior to the fall also almost edned iis Olympic dream.

There’s plenty on so if your limited on how many screens you have here’s what you want to be looking out for on day one.
