After reports surfaced during the week that Michael Schumacher was seen at his daughter’s wedding ceremony in Mallorca, former manager Willi Weber has shared the shattering details of his sad fallout with the Formula One legend.

Weber, a former ‘best friend’ of the Ferrari icon, told German news outlet Bild, that he was not invited to Gina’s wedding and he would not have attended the event if he was.

“I wasn’t invited, but I wouldn’t have attended the wedding even if I had been invited,” Weber said.

“My health isn’t good at the moment. I wouldn’t have wanted to fly to Majorca.

“I’m thinking about my successes with Michael ... our goals and our victories. I remember Michael the way he was. And we probably won’t see each other again.”

Weber blames himself for the family fallout, and admits Schumacher’s accident on the French Alps 11 years ago still haunts him.

“It was my fault that I didn’t visit Michael after the accident and stand by him,” he said.

“Because I thought the media reports were exaggerated.

“I thought I’d better wait a few days and then everything would be fine.

“But it was too late. For a long time I blamed myself for not reacting immediately.

“Since then, I’ve said goodbye to Michael in my heart in order to find my peace again.”

Weber also spoke to German outlet the Cologne Express during the week.

“When I think of Michael now, unfortunately, I don’t have any more hope that I will see him again,” he said.

Schumacher’s exact condition is unknown, at the will of his wife Corinna, who has kept it meticulously private since the accident.

Only an extremely small group of people are allowed to see him and fully understand his medical plight.

Weber is obviously not one of those people.

Weber said he was “angry” he had been shut out and previously said he had “tried hundreds of times to contact Corinna” but she refused to respond.

Gina married Iain Bethke and the wedding was preceded by a party where guests were all told to wear white.

It was also reported that to protect Schumacher’s privacy, guests had their phones confiscated at the door to avoid any footage or photos being taken of him.

Security was also hired to further protect him from the possibility of attention from outside the wedding.
