Touchdown Kansas City!

It’s too little too late... but the Chiefs have their second score of the game.

Mahomes finds DeAndre Hopkins in the corner to cut the deficit back to 40-14, with the two-point conversion.

2.54 left before the confetti goes flying!

Four minutes remaining

We’re just playing for a final score now as Mahomes and the Chiefs try to add a little more respect to this 40-6 scoreline...

How good for Jordan Mailata, the Aussie offensive tackle who’s about to get a ring on his finger!

Eagles field goal: 40-6

That’s not a typo, if you’re just joining us: The score is Philadelphia 40, Kansas City 6.

Jake Elliott steers another field goal through, this time from 50 yards, for what may be the last score of this one as we enter the final eight minutes.

An impressive element of this rout from the Eagles has been the fact that they’ve done it without a dominant performance from superstar running back Saquon Barkley. He’s travelled just 57 yards on 25 carries at an average of just 2.3 per try - low by his lofty standards.

ANOTHER TURNOVER!

Mahomes AGAIN coughs it up!

He has his arm slapped just as he winds up for a long throw, the ball comes loose, and three Eagles players are in the vicinity to pounce on it.

Philly players are now all smiles and celebrating on the sidelines, even with nine minutes remaining. The Lombardi Trophy will soon be in their hands.

Field goal: Philly 37, Kansas City 6

It’s party time in New Orleans for the Eagles faithful! They know they can’t lose from here as they add another three points.

The Chiefs’ bid for a threepeat has been absolutely stomped on in a manner that few would have thought possible. It’s been an emphatic statement.

9.51 remaining for Mahomes and co to try and salvage some pride here.

Philly 34, Kansas City 6

We’re under 10 minutes remaining now as the Eagles milk the clock on their latest drive.

Jalen Hurts is up to 221 yards of passing and 72 rushing as he positions himself nicely for the MVP award, though Philly’s defence could argue their collective case as best afield.

Chris Robinson

TOUCHDOWN! Kansas City FINALLY get something!

Mahomes tosses one to Xavier Worthy in the end zone, and at long last, the Chiefs are on the board!

They go for two points and fail, so it’s 34-6 with 34 seconds left in Q3.

Chris Robinson

TOUCHDOWN PHILADELPHIA!

WOW!

Hurts throws a BOMB to Davonte Smith, and it lands in his lap in the end zone!

It’s 34-0 and it’s threatening to become the most one-sided Super Bowl in history!

The record margin is 45 points, set by San Francisco against Denver in Super Bowl XXIV.

Chris Robinson

Chiefs turnover on downs!

It remains 27-0 as Kansas City go for it on fourth down... and don’t succeed.

Mahomes has just 60 yards through almost three complete quarters, while Travis Kelce just completed his first catch on a quiet day to say the least.

2.47 remaining in Q3 as the Eagles take over in midfield.
