Valentine Holmes set to return to Sydney as Dragons sign Cowboys’ star on monster deal
Cashed-up St George Illawarra continue their buying spree with NRL superstar Valentine Holmes the latest to make the move to the Dragons on a three-year deal.
Rumours have been swirling about the impending signing and Dtragons’ coach Shane Flababgan finally got his man with confirmation on Wednesday that Holmes will return to Sydney on a deal reportedly worth $2.5 million.
Holmes has been released from the final year of his Cowboys contract and will partner up with another major signing in South Sydney Rabbitohs stalwart, Damien Cook, from the 2025 season.

The departure of NSW winger Zac Lomax from the Dragons to the Parramatta Eels next year left Flanagan needing to fill a void on the edge and also in the goal-kicking ranks.
With Valentine Holmes on board, Flanagan may be feeling a bit better about losing Lomax to their cross-town rivals.
