Birthday disaster! Horrifying moment balloons explode creating massive fireball in birthday girl’s face

When Nozza Usmanova was greeted with a bunch of balloons and a cake, she did not expect the life threatening surprise which followed it.
Ms Usmanova was waiting outside a shop in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, when her friends and family surprised her with a birthday cake lit with candles and a huge bunch of Hydrogen-filled balloons — a gesture that nearly proved fatal.
Hydrogen is extremely flammable and easily ignited, so all it took was the heat from the candles on the cake to brush against the balloons sparking a fiery explosion.

One person can be seen running outside, with flames still burning on their coat.
Thankfully, within seconds the fire dissipated, and no one was seriously hurt.
“It happened so fast. I’m not sure how I managed to escape,” Ms Usmanova later told local media.
“It’s a relief that nobody was hurt and there was no damage.”

Ms Usmanova is not the first person to experience this sort of incident, with a birthday girl getting set on fire by hydrogen balloons in 2018.
Another young woman was celebrating her birthday with friends and family when the balloons exploded as she lit a candle on her cake.
The 21-year-old, known only as Sanjana, can be seen lighting a candle on her cake surrounded by dozens of pink and black hydrogen balloons as her friends and family crowd around and snap pictures.
Within seconds, the candle bursts into flames igniting the balloons around her.
Screams can be heard as the fireball fills the room and engulfs the birthday girl in flames, burning off much of her hair and leaving her with horrific burns.
Many countries have banned the use of hydrogen in balloons due to how dangerous it can be, including the UK which outlawed it in 1914.
