Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has labelled the idea that restaurants are modifying their menus to suit people who are using weight loss drugs as “absolute bullshit”.

Some of the world’s most iconic nosheries have been adjusting their portion sizes to suit patrons choosing to inject themselves with drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, and Ramsay is definitely not a fan.

Speaking with The Sunday Times, the 59-year-old was asked if he would consider implementing the practice in any of his restaurants.

“That is absolute bullshit,” Ramsay said.

“There’s no f...... way we’re giving in to the Mounjaro jab … The problem is with them (the diners) for eating too much in the first f...... place!

“There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f... by 10:30 in the evening.”

Ramsay’s outburst follows world-renowned chef Heston Blumenthal announcing a “mindful” experience at his Fat Duck restaurant in Berkshire the UK, that features reduced portion sizes.

Ozempic works by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone. As those hormone levels rise, the molecules go to your brain, telling it you’re full. It also slows digestion by increasing the time it takes for food to leave the body, according to the University of California.

Mounjaro, which is a tirzepatide, is also produced to have the same effect.

Both drugs are used to treat Type 2 diabetes and have taken the world by storm to aid in weight loss.

In the same interview, Ramsay took aim at so-called influencers using phones in his restaurants to share their experience during the meal.

“F...... ring lights and posting about how good the food is,” he said.

The chef agreed influencers can be helpful for business beneficial for brands but those in America take it a step too far.

“Because they’re constantly taking f...... pictures with their flashlights on.”

Ramsay has presented on the television cooking shows Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, MasterChef, Next Level Chef and more.

He also owns several restaurants around the world, including Gordon Ramsay Burger in Las Vegas, Bread Street Kitchen and Bar in London and Le Pressoir D’Argent in Bordeaux, France.

In October, it was announced that Ramsay will open a British-themed gastropub at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

The Carnaby, “will bring the Brit pop energy of the swinging ‘60s London” featuring “a selection of Gordon Ramsay’s iconic and delicious British classic dishes” according to the Disney website.
