“Oaklynn packed a lot in her short time with us. Travelling the rodeo circuit all over the US, hitting the practice pen with mom and dad, and loving her family with all her heart,” the obituary read.

“She loved frogs, horses, everybody’s puppies, going to “yodeos”, and hanging out with all her friends. She did not know a stranger and lit up the room the minute she made her grand entrance.”
Oaklynn’s mother Kelsie, who is a star rodeo athlete in the US, took to social media to say she and her husband Ryan are “shattered beyond words” at their girl’s tragic death in a post from the horse supply firm Kelsie works for.
“Sweet Oaklynn gained her angel wings far too soon,” Kelsie said.
“We don’t always understand God’s plan. . . but we hold onto faith she is being held in His arms.”
Instagram users flooded Kelsie’s page to express their sorrow.

“I am so sorry for you all. What a precious gift and beautiful child. So clearly loved. ❤️,” one user said.
“Absolutely heartbroken. God must have really needed a little cowgirl up in Heaven, but she sure will be missed down here💔,” another said.
At a roping competition in San Antonio, Texas, horse riders and ropers were spotted wearing pink accessories in tribute to little Oaklynn.
“I know my baby girl loved seeing all of that PINK,” mother Kelsie commented.
