We’ve seen Harry speaking about wanting a reconciliation with his father, and there is a willingness from both sides to fix their relationship,” Mr Myers said.
“William, Catherine and other members of the Royal Family feel deeply hurt by everything Harry has said in the past about the Firm.”
The Duke of Sussex has repeatedly spoken publicly about his experiences within the royal family since stepping back from royal duties with wife Meghan Markle in 2020.
The couple made a series of allegations during their interview with Oprah Winfrey, which was later expanded on in their Netflix documentary series and Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare.
The brothers have remained estranged in the years since, with their last public appearance together taking place at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.
Despite their differences, the princes have continued championing causes closely associated with their late mother.
Harry recently travelled to Ukraine and Angola, continuing Princess Diana;s campaign to highlight the dangers of un-exploded landmines in former conflict zones.
Meanwhile, William has focused on tackling homelessness through his Homewards initiative, which recently marked its third anniversary.
The revelation comes after Harry and Meghan’s upcoming trip to the UK with their two children was thrown into chaos by a security hiccup.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been due to travel to the UK in early July for the Invicitus Games One Year To Go celebrations in Birmingham, alongside their son, Prince Archie, and daughter, Princess Lilibet.
The trip was also set to include several private family moments and charity engagements.
But according to UK media outlet the Telegraph, the visit is now in jeopardy after Harry received an update about the family’s security arrangements.
The publication reports the Royal and VIP Executive Committe (RAVEC) has rejected Harry’s latest application for tax-payer funded police protection during their visit, prompting him to reconsider whether it is safe for his wife and children to travel.
A source told the publication the decision was “wilfully creating conditions that are making it nearly impossible” for the Sussexes to travel around the country.
Under the current arrangements, the family would only receive police protection while on royal property.
Reports have previously suggested King Charles offered the Sussexes accommodation at a royal residence, although it is not known whether they planned to accept the invitation.
Harry lost his automatic tax-payer funded security after stepping back as a working royal in 2020.
