Strictly Come Dancing embroiled in another scandal as BBC star arrested after alleged rape

Producers of one of the biggest reality TV shows in the UK are reeling after back-to-back scandals involving alleged drug use and rape.
Police have confirmed that one of the stars of the hugely popular show, Strictly Come Dancing, was arrested and is assisting them with inquiries into allegations of rape.
The man who is reportedly one of the BBC shows ‘stars’ has been questioned authorities on suspicion of rape and allegations involving “non-consensual intimate image abuse”.

“On Friday, August 22, officers arrested a man on suspicion of rape and non-consensual intimate image abuse,” Police said in statement
“This is a joint investigation with Hertfordshire Constabulary and while the investigation is in its early stages, we urge anyone with any information to come forward to us.
“The arrest follows a third party allegation of sexual and drug-related offences. Enquiries are ongoing.
“The alleged rape victim is being supported by specialist officers.”
The latest scandal is one of the biggest crises for the BBC since newsreader Huw Edwards dodged jail after being sacked for possessing indecent images of children.
The Sun is reporting that the BBC — with the help of lawyers Pinsent Masons — had launched an investigation into claims that two Strictly Come Dancing stars had been using cocaine.
