Passenger on Southwest Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Chicago reportedly strips naked, defecates on seat
A US airline has apologised for a shocking act committed by a passenger on board a domestic flight.
Police were called to Midway Airport in Chicago after a female passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight stripped off her clothing before defecating on the seat, according to NBC News.
The vile act forced the plane to be taken out of service for cleaning.

“Our teams are reaching out to those onboard to apologise for the situation and any delays to their travel plans,” the statement said.
“Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees, and we appreciate the professionalism of our flight crew.”
The shocking incident is the latest in a string of bad headlines for the airline, with a Southwest Airlines plane narrowly escaping disaster in February after aborting its landing to avoid hitting a private jet.
Shocking footage emerged on social media in the minutes after the near-fatal incident.
The vision showed the large commercial plane about to land on the runway when a smaller jet begins to cross the same runway just meters ahead.
The Southwest Airlines plane quickly aborted the runway, ascending back into the air to avoid a near collision.
More recently, a Southwest Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Houston after an engine fire forced it to turn around following take-off.
