Several explosive devices have been discovered in a major Australian city with police urging residents to stay on high alert.

Several “dangerous” explosive devices have been discovered in Canberra’s northwest, with police issuing a community safety alert to residents.
Since Tuesday, police say they have found 11 pipe bombs located on public footpaths near Lake Gininderra between Joynton Smith Drive and Ginninderra Drive in Belconnen.
“ACT Policing is warning the community of dangerous pipe bombs which have been located on public paths in Belconnen this week,” a police spokesperson said.

Images released by ACT Policing show silver pipe-shaped objects lying on the ground outdoors. They have screw tops and can fit in a person’s hand.
Anyone who comes across a pipe bomb should not touch it and immediately contact Triple Zero.
