Deception Bay fatality: 36-year-old man dead after motorbike and ute crash

The forensic crash unit is investigating after a 36-year-old male motorcyclist died in a collision with a utility vehicle north of Brisbane on Thursday.

The fatal incident at Deception Bay, a suburb of Moreton Bay, occurred around 6.15pm when a Kawasaki Ninja motorbike travelling along Deception Bay Road collided with a Nissan Navara utility near the Zammit Street intersection.

The motorbike rider, a 36-year-old man from Fitzgibbon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan Navara, a 66-year-old woman from Burpengary East, along with her three passengers, escaped the crash without physical injuries.

Witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the incident are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
